Imad is the CEO and Co-founder of RTDT, a company that went through the Venture Kick program and joined our portfolio in 2024. For Imad, Venture Kick offered the right amount of money at just the right time, but the program also helped Imad’s company sharpen its value proposition. Great technology can go in many directions, but a great product needs to be targeted at a selected industry, customer, and use case, Imad explains the learning.

RTDT is short for Real Time Decision Tools. The company develops thin patches with sensors for wind turbine blades, collecting data that helps operators optimize turbine performance and boost their energy production. The product also comes with a software component that gathers and analyzes the collected aerodynamic and structural data. The first RTDT products are retrofitted to existing blades, but the goal is to integrate both the hardware and software into the process of manufacturing new turbines. And yes, the company also has other industries and use cases in mind for future expansion.
